This Should be in My House.

re
Fleetwood Mac (lyrics) letter-press print by Amy Rice. I have a soft spot in my heart for Fleetwood Mac. Growing up, my best friend's parents had this great house with speakers hooked up to every part of it (inside, outside, hallways, kitchen, etc.), and Fleetwood Mac was a part of their cd disc changer playlist and played on their house stereo maybe a million times. They had this huge swimming pool that we would spend most of our time in, with the music always on in the background. Seeing this print instantly brings back a lot of cheery memories. It's funny what music can do and how it can make you feel. See more here.
(found via design is mine: isn't is lovely?).

John Holcomb.

Picture 9 Picture 10 Picture 8 Picture 6 Picture 7 Picture 11 As seen on Design Sponge, a limited edition set of printed states by illustrator/artist John Holcomb, a "regular guy from Kansas." I found lots of joy comparing the states, and seeing which one I liked the best. I'm not sure which one I'd want to buy if I had to choose just one, but probably not Washington, it's pretty boring to buy your own state. I'd get Iowa, Idaho and Connecticut, solely for what's on the print, not particularly for what the state stands for or anything. Wanna see if they have your state? Click here.

Picture 4 Picture 5 I am obsessed with pencil stubs; I once considered it a tattoo idea, in fact, I'll probably still get a pencil tattoo (please don't steal my idea -not that it's a very good one). I like pencil stubs because they've been loved and taken care of for so long, and I feel like there's a lot more to them than just being some old object. I also love that this print by Jean Richardson has a whole bunch of them nicely organized in one confined area, it couldn't be more suitable for myself or my home, and it's just that reasonably priced that I might have to buy one, don't ya think?

Cool vintage photo.

This collage PRINT by Cassia Beck was neat to find because I made a screen-print (pictured at bottom) a few years ago using this same vintage photo, in basically the same composition, but more like a poloroid. Great minds do think alike when finding an old awesome archive photo, the rest of her collages are really great too and are available on etsy, she uses vintage magazines, cut paper and her own photography to create nostalgic tongue-in-cheek scenarios. She also said her favorite materials are paper and glue, which I can respect. Cassia Beck Collage. My screen-print. 2008

This print by Artist Mike Miller is right up my alley, I love it so much! I have a real thing for silhouettes and muted masculine colors. They are not only reasonably priced, but come framed, can't top that. See more of his selections here!
