Who knew that avocado pits—when used as a dye—created a lovely muted pink hue?
I am in love with the results. I treated the fabric prior to dyeing (scouring, tannin bath, alum bath), so it was a full day of work, but completely worth it.
Take Away: Saving avocado pits in the freezer until you have enough for a full dye bath,
takes up a lot of real estate if you're into frozen goods, but makes for a killer batch of dye.
