We were only in Salem one day, so I made it my mission to find the best place to eat. I walked all around the city, searched yelp, and nothing was feeling quite right. Finally, from a block away, I saw La Capitale's sign. I walked over and knew right away this was happening -and it was. I found it, Salem's casual French Bistro. I enjoyed bread and butter while waiting for my salad and smoked salmon/cream cheese toasts that both came with fresh flowers on top! So fantastic and my total was only $13, thank you Salem! A few more highlights were swimming twice in our hotel, perusing a huge antique shop, and seeing the state capitol.
