Andrew and I began running this year when we signed up for a half marathon training program in March. Before that, the whole "working out" thing, especially running long mileage, was a fairly foreign concept to us. Sure there was cycling, walking and hiking, but never anything that rigorous. Luckily, after finding properly fitted running shoes, gear and getting past those first few hard runs, we ended up enjoying running immensely. Especially Andrew. After the half marathon, he began training to run a full and ended up completing it this last weekend! 26.2 miles in 3 hrs and 58 minutes! Several other friends in our training group ran in both the full and the half as well, all having done a great job! I wanted to share this story in case you ever thought of getting into running or just needed a little inspiration. It's never too late and it's really quite a rewarding and amazing thing.

(marathon location: Victoria B.C. - We took the clipper there and back. I totally recommend that mode of travel. So fast and easy).
