We had wall-to-wall excitement this weekend and I'm just now getting a chance to share some of the photos with you. They are mostly from our trip to Cape Disappointment where we spent the whole weekend eating, hiking and enjoying life's natural beauty. We left early Friday morning and got back just in time on Sunday afternoon for a birthday party. A party that was then followed by a second birthday party. After a long weekend. This might be normal for you, but if you know me at all, I've quit living on the wild side and sort of require mellow Sunday 'evenings in' these days. You know, so that I can prepare for my upcoming week by taking care of important things like laundry, uploading photos, cleaning, grocery shopping, and whatever else that needs to be done. And if that doesn't happen, I tend to feel a little all over the place. Anyway, I had a lot of fun, so staying out all weekend was totally worth it and Cape Disappointment turned out to be quite the little getaway. We hiked to two separate lighthouses (getting to go inside one of them), enjoyed gourmet camping meals of risotto with steak, veggie/chicken kebabs with corn, and witnessed some of the most vibrant/epic/ridiculous/hypnotic sunsets I've ever seen! Also (and most importantly), I got to relax and read on the beach. I. Love. The. Beach.
Hope you had a nice weekend! Love, -n
