There really isn't a better way to start off the summer, other than having an 'All-lady Happy Hour' held on the first hottest day of the year, hosted by two lovely and talented ladies, Kari Pearson and Laura Cassidy. Being among so many creative and talented women (make-up artists, designers, photographers, etc.), was very empowering, sort of how you feel when at a Le Tigre show or when... I don't know. Anyway, I think more and more ladies should do this as much as possible. It was a gorgeous home, there were really delicious dishes and the drink of the night was a 'French-75,' completely perfect and refreshing.
French 75
3 ounces gin
3 ounces fresh lemon juice
4 teaspoons superfine granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups ice cubes
1 cup chilled champagne
